Choctaw wins Douglass Invitational

Both Choctaw track and field teams went to the Douglass Invitational April 1 and romped to team championships. The Yellowjackets (174 points) cleared second-place Tulsa East Central by 40 points and the champion Lady Jackets (168) mounted a comfortable victory over runner-up Putnam North. Read more

School board decides to pursue bond election
$90.5 million measure will contain two new schools, massive renovations

This time voters will be asked to pass a $90.5 million measure that will include two new elementary schools and major renovations at a third school. The bond election is set for Sept. 13. The Mid-Del Board of Education voted 4-0 July 11 to call the election with board President Tim Blanton absent from the meeting. Read more
