Lojka spent 29 years at the Midwest City Fire Department and served in several roles, including firefighter, inspector, investigator, public education officer, public information officer and fire marshal.
His favorite job was that of department spokesman as he answered questions from the press, and conveyed important fire prevention tips to the public.

Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten enrollment for the 2012-2013 school term will be held April 2 through April 30.
All enrollments will occur at the Carl Albert High School Fieldhouse, 2009 S. Post Road, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on each school’s designated date.
Pre-K students must be 4-years-old on or before September 1, and all new kindergarten students must be 5-years-old on or before September 1.
Items needed for enrollment can be found on the district’s Web site www.middel.net.
All Pre-K and kindergarten families who have applied for an out-of-district transfer will enroll in June upon receipt of their transfer approval letter.
