Once a year the Metropolitan Library System has to make way for new furnishings by holding what could be called a large garage sale. This is not a book sale, but is instead a sale of surplus furniture and equipment.

The next Metro Library retail sale will be conducted on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.. The sale will be held at the Metropolitan Library System Maintenance Center, 1364 N.E. 3rd, Oklahoma City.

Items for sale include but are not limited to computers, copiers, surveillance equipment, tv’s, book trucks, cabinets, carts, chairs, clothes rack, conveyor system, desk, displayers, file cabinets, rugs, shelving, stools, tables and office supplies.

Payment may be made by cash, check (with current id) or approved purchase orders, with state and local taxes included in the purchase price. All furniture and equipment are sold as is-where is, with no warranties or guarantees given or implied. All purchases must be paid for and removed from the sale site by 3:30pm, Friday, October 16, 2015.
