The Midwest City Parks and Recreation department has lined up a summer of free fun in the park. The Summer Concert Series and Sunset Cinemas will begin in June and run through the end of July. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and even a picnic to each event.

Sunset Cinema is a free, family-friendly movie series located in Charles J. Johnson Central Park at Town Center. Movies play every Sunday evening, beginning at dusk, on a large, inflatable outdoor screen through June and July. Movies differ weekly including both animated and live-action flicks.

June 28: The Little Rascals

July 5: Twister

July 12: Paddington

July 19: Frozen

July 26: Planes: Fire & Rescue

The Summer Concert Series features a free, family-friendly concert every Thursday in June and July. Concerts take place at 7 p.m. in Joe B. Barnes Regional Park. Music genres range from classic rock covers to blue grass and big-band.
