I cannot begin to even describe the level of chill bumps I experienced during Monday’s Midwest City Veterans Day Parade.
Way to go Midwest City for putting together this amazing event!
If you were not at the stage, you surely missed out. I am sure there were great views to be had all along the parade route, but being right front and center, was simply the best.
Bonnie Cheatwood with the MWC Chamber of Commerce suggested I take pictures standing to side on the grand stage, and boy, am I sure glad she did.
I saw everything from a bird’s eye view that only the KOCO helicopter flying in the beautiful blue sky had me beat.
Perhaps my highest chill bump moment was how the parade kicked off.
With the Ol’ Glory waving proudly in the Oklahoma wind, our National Anthem played over the speakers. To top it all off, the vintage War Birds planes soared over it all several times.
This scene could not have been any more patriotic.
I’m even more proud to call myself a Midwest Citian after Monday’s ceremony.
It also was amazing to see so many people come together for this event, including young people from our local Mid-Del schools and private school with St. Philip Neri taking part.
I honestly don’t know how MWC is going to top the show they put on for this year’s second annual parade.
Great job to everyone involved! Here’s giving you a well deserved pat on the back!
