Rose State College will host its annual recognition dinner to celebrate exceptional friends of the institution and distinguished alumni Thursday, Feb. 13.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Rose State College Student Center Main Dining Room.
The college’s Tower Award, presented in recognition of significant contributions to the advancement of the college, will be awarded to Rep. Gary and Linda Banz, Mike and Pam Kloiber, and Norris and Betty Price.
Rep. Banz is a member of the House of Representatives. He and his wife, Linda, are the organizers of Honor Flight for WWII Veterans.
Mike Kloiber is the president and CEO of Tinker Federal Credit Union. He joins his wife Pam Kloiber as organizers of Home Away from Home for airmen at Tinker Air Force Base.
Finally, Norris Price is the former executive director of the Okla. Real Estate Commission, Executive Dir. of the Okla. Civil Defense Department. His wife, Betty, was the executive director of the Okla. Arts Council.
The college also will honor alumni who have been recognized for professional accomplishments and leadership in their field. These recipients include Special District Judge Allen Welch, Capitol Gains founder Bobby Stem, McAfee and Taft attorney Brandon Long and NBC’s The Biggest Loser winner, motivational speaker, author, and musician, Danny Cahill.
“We are honored to celebrate exceptional friends of Rose State College who are receiving the Tower Award, along with of some of our distinguished alumni who will be the first to be inducted into the Rose State College Alumni Hall of Fame,” said Cindy Mikeman, executive directror of the Rose State College Foundation.
