After all, we received numerous compliments about our publication and its new appearance, content and local ownership. In this business, compliments can be few and far between, so we enjoyed all of the positive remarks.

Moore named to bank’s board of directors

Wade Moore, senior vice president of Advantage Bank in Midwest City and Spencer, has been named to the bank’s board of directors. Moore replaces his father, Wan Moore, who died in December.

Wade Moore, along with his wife, Jennifer, and their children, live in Midwest City. He is active in the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce in addition to the Nicoma Park Kiwanis Club and the Eastern Oklahoma County Partnership.

Wan Moore served as one of five directors at Advantage Bank for 17 years.

Talking about his father, Wade Moore said, “Dad was a great cheerleader for the bank out in the Eastern Oklahoma County communities. He had worked in another small family-owned bank before it was swallowed up by a big bank. He always appreciated the special dynamic between a family bank and the community it serves.”

Advantage Bank is one of the last – and oldest – family-owned banks in the area, Wade Moore said.

“He (Wan Moore) was really proud to serve on its board of directors and promote it wherever he could. I feel the same way, but those are some mighty big shoes to fill,” he said.

Advantage Bank has been serving Eastern Oklahoma County since 1914, and has locations at SE15th and Post Road, and at NE 23rd and Midwest Boulevard.

Wade Moore has worked at the bank since 1999, and serves as president of the Midwest City location.
