Midwest City’s Lady Bombers, ranked No. 2 in Class 6A, remained undefeated Tuesday with a 50-43 win over No. 4 Edmond Memorial.

An 8-0 run to begin the fourth quarter proved to be the difference in the victory. The Lady Bombers broke a 28-28 tie with the quick start, and built a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter. Jasmine Gaddis scored eight of her team-high 12 points to pace the Lady Bombers.

Free throws also proved to be critical in the fourth period as Midwest City converted 14 of 18 from the charity stripe. During the first three quarters, the Lady Bombers hit only four of 11 from the free throw line.

Midwest City’s Ashley Clark had 11 points while teammate Adrianna White had 10.

The Lady Bombers trailed 18-17 at halftime before outscoring Edmond Memorial 33-25 in the second half. The win improved Midwest City’s season record to 18-0,

Carl Albert 38, Guthrie 21

The Lady Titans overcame a poor shooting performance to defeat the Guthrie Bluejays 38-21 Tuesday night.

Carl Albert, ranked No. 4 in Class 5A, improved its season record to 13-4. Carl Albert junior Gioya Carter, who committed to play at the University of Oklahoma last month, tallied five points. Senior Toni Cheadle led the Lady Titans with 14 points.

Lady Titan head coach Tim Price said his team was “sluggish” as Guthrie showed patience on the offensive end.

Carl Albert led 17-8 at halftime and outscored Guthrie 21-13 in the second half.

Choctaw 48, Putnam West 32

Senior Layton Hurley scored a game-high 23 points to pace the Choctaw Lady Yellowjackets to a 48-32 Metro Conference victory Tuesday.

The Jackets outscored Putnam West in each quarter as Choctaw improved its season mark to 11-7. The Jackets play at No. 1 ranked Edmond Santa Fe Friday.
