“Zombie Prom: The Musical” is loosely based on a 1950s comic book, but the title may be misleading. The musical actually is a romantic comedy complete with original, catchy ’50s-style scores. It revolves around Jonny Warner, the town rebel who falls in love with Toffee, the town good girl.
When Toffee’s parents forbid her to see Jonny, an atomic twist of fate occurs as Jonny turns into a nuclear zombie. Tabloid journalist Eddie Flagrante covers the story as Jonny attempts to re-enter school and go to the senior prom.
