Lojka spent 29 years at the Midwest City Fire Department and served in several roles, including firefighter, inspector, investigator, public education officer, public information officer and fire marshal.

Grant helps expand Rose State’s cyber-security program
The grant is part of a national initiative to increase the number of cybersecurity graduates, said RSC professor and program director Ken Dewey.
“Due to our successes with the last grant, they want us to expand,” Dewey said. “It’s part of the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) program.”
Rose State College is in the rare position of being the only community college in the nation with all six federal certifications in cybersecurity.
The school is accepting applicants for the 2012-13 school term. The grant pays for tuition, fees and books.
Students must be ready for college algebra; have a 2.5 high school GPA; declare cybersecurity as a major at Rose State; enroll full time and pass a law enforcement background check.
