Rose State College Offers Bass Fishing Basics with Joe Thomas, Antiquing and More in Spring 2015 Catalog
The Rose State College Community Learning Center invites the public to enroll in its spring 2015 class offerings.
“We’re always really excited to be able to offer these classes and workshops to the community,” said Coordinator of Community Learning and Outreach Connie Myrick. “They’re a great way to encourage local residents to get out and socialize while learning something new.”
Offerings include a ‘Bass Fishing Basics’ workshop led by four professional anglers, including five-time Bassmaster Classic finalist Joe Thomas. Thomas is a regular on the Fishing League Worldwide tour and hosts the Outdoor Channel’s Reel in the Outdoors and Challenge Match Fishing. The workshop costs $99 and lasts from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Feb. 10, 17, 26, and March 5.
Another class includes an antiquing day trip to Tahlequah to visit the Briar Patch Market and Cherokee Heritage Museum. Participants will visit native villages, learn about day-to-day life and receive a pottery lesson. The trip costs $75 and begins at 7 a.m., March 8.
Other classes include photography lessons, dance lessons, writing workshops and more. A digital copy of the community learning center catalog can be downloaded at rose.edu/community-learning-center. For more information on classes or enrollment, call 733-7392.
